It's A Wonderful Life in... Lake Bluff!
Saturday, Dec. 6th 10 am to 5 pm
Holiday fun for all downtown Lake Bluff this Saturday!!!!
For the 6th year, Lake Bluff, the “North Pole of the North Shore”, will kick off its holiday season with a full day of festive activities sponsored by the Lake Bluff Downtown Merchants, the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce, and the Village of Lake Bluff.
Entitled “It’s a Wonderful Life … in Lake Bluff”, the day-long celebration in the holiday spirit will start at 10am when the downtown comes alive with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season along with in-store promotions, exhibits drawings and gift ideas for all ages.
Santa and his live reindeer, horse and carriage rides, seasonal music and old fashioned fun will bring a Norman Rockwell holiday scene to life throughout the bustling downtown.
The culmination of the day’s events will be the ceremonial lighting of the town’s gazebo on the Village Green sponsored by Kinnucan Company with a traditional community sing-along led by the Lake Bluff Middle School Chorus.
The day’s schedule includes the following...
10-5:00 Artists on the Bluff at LB Train Station with unique gifts and live holiday music
10-2:00 Story time with the LB Library Elf along with drop-in craft fun and treats
12-2:00 Horse-drawn carriage rides courtesy of Lake Forest Bank & Trust
12-2:00 Santa visiting the Lake Bluff History Museum
2:30-3:30 Holiday music played on rare, historic instruments at the

Two of the special events include the Lake Bluff Library offering holiday story time with the Library Elf along with crafts and treats for kids, and the Artists on the Bluff celebrating the season in arts and music at their gallery in the Lake Bluff Train Station.
The Artists on the Bluff will be serving hot spiced cider and cookies while showcasing fine art from local artists including holiday cards, jewelry and hand-crafted gifts. Musician Jim Kendros will be performing holiday favorites on rare historic stringed instruments, including a French Hurdy-Gurdy, from 2:30 - 3:30.
