DESCRIPTION:Join the Lake Forest College Concert Band as we celebrate the power of music on our campus and within the Lake Forest Community. Programming will include a world premiere piece by Lake Forest's own James Stephenson\; First Light by American composer David Maslanka\, and a selection of music that represents the beautiful diversity we have in our campus community. \n\nFirst 50 community member registrations receive an invitation to a pre-event reception.\n\n \n\nThe evening will feature a USA 250-themed pre-concert reception and remarks from Lake Forest College President\, Mike Sosulski\, and chair of the Department of Music and concert conductor\, Scott Edgar. \n\nThe concert begins at 7 p.m. with the pre-event reception (held in the Stuart Room at Gorton) beginning at 5:30 p.m. and remarks at 6:15 p.m.
