SUMMARY:CenterStage in Lake Forest presents: Tennessee Williams The Glass Menagerie
DESCRIPTION:Considered a "memory play"\, Tennessee Williams "The Glass Menagerie" takes place in a tenement apartment in St. Louis in the 1930s. Tom Wingfield enters and introduces himself and sets the stage. He introduces his mother\, Amanda\, his slightly crippled sister\, Laura\, and a gentleman caller. Amanda's obsession with the old ways and its effect on how much she tries to control her adult children is a major theme of this play- as it is for many of Tennessee's plays involving mother-child relationships. Come & experience this classic drama up close & personal as the audience will be seated on the stage.\n\n	Running weekends from March 8 - 23 with 8:00 pm shows on Friday & Saturday and 2 matinees at 3:00 pm. Contact 847-234-6062 or purchase tickets at www.centerstagelakeforest.org.
