DESCRIPTION:Members: Join the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate Illinois Chamber of Commerce week with an open house celebration at our new office in Lake Forest.\n\n\n\nIllinois Governor Pat Quinn has proclaimed September 10 through September 14\, 2012 as Chamber of Commerce Week throughout Illinois.\n\n \n\nThe Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber has joined the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) in celebrating this special recognition of the contributions chambers of commerce make to Illinois civic and economic life.\n\n \n\nIn his Proclamation\, the Governor declared\, "Chambers of commerce have contributed to the civic and economic life in Illinois for 172 years since the Galena Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1838.  Chambers of commerce encourage the growth of existing industries\, services\, and commercial firms and encourage new businesses and individuals to locate in Illinois."\n\n \n\nThe Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber will celebrate Chamber of Commerce week by hosting an Open House for friends and colleagues at the new Chamber office (272 E. Deerpath in the Atrium) on Thurs.\, Sept. 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Join us as we show off our new office\, toast to the Chamber's future and commemorate Chamber of Commerce week.
