DESCRIPTION:Join us at our annual Chili Cook-Off! Don your apron to compete or just come to enjoy the delicious offerings from local restaurants and camaraderie of the community. Private judges (by invitation only) vote for their favorite chili recipe and we will have first and second place winners! Winners will be announced at 3:45. For the purpose of this contest\, chili is defined as any kind of meat\, meat substitute\, cooked with chili peppers\, or other peppers\, spices\, vegetables\, and other ingredients. May or may not include beans Each contestant/team must supply 3 quarts and two slow cookers with cooked ready-to-eat chili. Set up time will be 12:15 pm/event opens to the public at 1:00. Please bring a copy of your recipe (unless it's a family secret!) and a chili star rating of spice level (we will provide) The contestant/team will be assigned a setup area and must keep it safe and clean. Teams will get one six-foot table and up to three chairs at each table. Each team has the opportunity to be featured on our website (please provide a photo and "chili bio")
