SUMMARY:CORE COMPETENCIES ? The Foundation for Career Success
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Stephanie Kurokawa\, DTM\, Owner\, My Inner Core\n\n\n\nThis workshop is designed to help you look at challenges in a creative way\, a way to see the opportunities in life's challenges. If you are looking to move ahead and take it to the next level\, the skills necessary to build a foundation for your career include: Communications\, Collaboration\, Creativity\, and Critical Thinking. Being qualified to do the job isn't enough. Your soft skills may give you a competitive edge and be what differentiates you from other candidates. Are you ready to gain mental flexibility? Join Speaker\, trainer\, and creative inspirer\, Stephanie in this enlightening session that will help you see opportunities and understand your own core competencies. \n\n Stephanie Kurokawa\, spent her early years in Advertising\, freelancing for Advertising Agencies and Design Studios in both Chicago and Los Angeles. Freelancing with major agencies in both cities allowed her to work on major accounts like Honda\, Budweiser\, Marlboro\, MacDonald's\, Discover\, and United Airlines. \n\n What she enjoyed most was the freedom it allowed her to work on multiple projects on any given day. Having the ability to interact with different departments allowed her to hone her \n\ncommunication and leadership skills. Committed to taking those communication and leadership skills to the next level\, Stephanie joined Toastmasters\, where she earned the designation of \n\nDistinguished Toastmaster. In 2008\, motivated by a personal challenge she knew she had to\n\nset out on a new course. Constantly looking for new ways to CHANGE\, she transferred those skills to speaking\, training and creatively inspiring others.\n\n Feeling like so many people settle for the crumbs in life when they can have their cake and eat it too\, she has set out to help others find a recipe for CHANGE.\n\n CRC's April 2015 Calendar of Events is sponsored by FRANNET - John McLellan jmclellan@frannet.com.
