DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Melissa Jensen\, Board Member and Advisor\n\n\n\nCareer Resource Center is pleased to partner with DBR Chamber in bringing our popular resume program to chamber members\, their guests\, and local residents.\n\nWhat worked in a job hunt several years ago won't cut it today. While a resume will not get you a job\, a well crafted one that articulates your accomplishments and capabilities can make an impact in setting you apart from the competition.\n\nMelissa will offer you a framework for unearthing your unique talents and accomplishments. Then she will focus on the content and formats that employers are looking for in today's environment. You will walk away with the tools to develop a targeted resume.\n\nThis session will provide you with the tools and knowledge on how to revamp or develop a resume that makes you shine.\n\nIdentifying your talents and accomplishments\n\nFormatting options\n\nCreation of a "Banner Ad"\n\nFormat for displaying experience\n\nKeywords\n\nTargeting resume for employer & position\n\n\n\nJoin us to learn what employers expect and how resumes are viewed in today's competitive market. Mini reviews (10 minutes) will be available for those who register and only cover appearance\, and methods for demonstrating your accomplishments.\n\nMelissa Jensen gained years of cross-functional management experience at Grainger\, ultimately holding the position of Director\, Employee Development. She can talk comfortably with candidates from diverse industries and disciplines. Melissa graduated with honors from the University of Illinois with a BA in Industrial Psychology and obtained her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
