DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Lake Forest Library will host its 48th Annual Used Book Sale September 12th -15th at the Lake Forest Recreation Center\, 400 Hastings Road.   \n\n \n\nThis popular community event is also one of the largest book sales in the Midwest. With something for every book lover\, this year's sale will offer over 100\,000 books in 115 categories.  \n\n \n\nThe sale kicks off with a Preview Day Thursday\, September 12 for members of the Friends.  All shoppers are invited to become members at the door and take advantage of selecting titles before doors open to the public (there is a 20% markup for the presale).  The sale will continue through the weekend\, with a 25% discount offered on Saturday to teachers\, first responders and active-duty military with ID.  Everything is half off on Sunday. \n\n \n\nVolunteers are needed for all four days of the sale\, as well as for setup the weekend before.  Anyone interested can inquire online at lakeforestlibrary.org/friends-lake-forest-library.
