Midwest Young Artists Conservatory's Chicago Summer Chamber Music Workshop provides young musicians with an unparalleled opportunity to engage in high-quality chamber music in a fun\, supportive environment. Open to serious string and piano students entering grades 7 through 12 in Fall 2024\, this camp is perfect for those seeking a comprehensive and immersive musical adventure.\n\n\n\nDates and Location: July 1 - 20\, 2024\n\nRehearsals: Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM\n\nSaturdays: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM\n\nFinal Concert: Saturday\, July 20\, 2024\n\nThe workshop is held at the picturesque and historic MYAC Center\, located at 878 Lyster Road\, Highwood\, IL\, in the beautiful Fort Sheridan area.\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect:\n\n\n\nTop-Notch Faculty: Learn from renowned instructors Dr. Allan Dennis and Mr. Robert Bassill.\n\nTailored Learning: Students are placed in chamber groups with peers of similar skill levels\, ensuring a challenging and rewarding experience.\n\n\n\nPerformance Opportunities: Showcase your talent at three Chamber Music Soirees and potentially at other venues during the week.\n\n\n\nComprehensive Experience: From intensive rehearsals to collaborative performances\, students will explore new ideas\, discover hidden talents\, and develop skills that will last a lifetime.\n\n\n\nEligibility and Placement: This program is designed for string students at a minimum level of Suzuki Book 4 - 5 and piano students of equivalent proficiency. Non-MYAC members must submit a video for placement purposes.\n\n\n\nJoin Us: Experience the joy of making music with like-minded peers in a nurturing and inspiring setting.
