SUMMARY:Journey to 30: Celebration Concert and Gala Reception
DESCRIPTION:Midwest Young Artists Conservatory (MYAC) is celebrating 30 years of making music! Come hear MYAC ensembles (Symphony Orchestra\, VocalPoint and Concert Jazz Band) joined by their Alumni perform works by Barber\, Brahms\, Beethoven\, Mozart\, Simon\, Bernstein\, Ellington\, Respighi and Shostakovich.  MYAC alumni are members of professional orchestras\, choruses\, chamber groups\, and jazz musicians from all over the world. Over 200 orchestra members will fill the stage and the choral balcony while the super-sized jazz band and chorus sing on the first half of the concert. Come hear an amazing variety of music. The sound will inspire you and the experience will be uplifting!\n\nThis will be MYAC's largest fundraising event of the season.  The concert which starts at 6 pm will be followed by a reception in the Grainger Ballroom at 8 pm.  Tickets for the concert and/or reception may be purchased separately.  \n\nThe reception will feature Alumni chamber and jazz combos\, hors d'oeuvres\, drinks\, a silent auction\, paddle raise and gallery of photos from over the years.
