A YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONCERT by Jim Stephenson Compose Yourself! is a fun\, interactive forty-five minute program designed to introduce children of all ages to the instruments of the symphony orchestra. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to see how classical music is composed using three elements of music: melody\, harmony\, and rhythm. The children will hear fifteen different classical instruments and learn how they blend together to create the sound of the full orchestra. The program features members of the Lake Forest Symphony and is designed by Composer-in-Residence James Stephenson. Suitable for children of all ages and families.
