DESCRIPTION:During the ongoing renovation\, the Library intends to rejuvenate the historic rooms from 1931 such as the Foyer\, Rotunda\, Friends' Reading Room\, Reference Room\, and Reference Annex. The planned work involves:\n\n- Applying new paint and carpet/flooring\n\n- Installing suitable furniture\, lighting\, and acoustical treatments\n\n- Adding more electrical outlets and enhancing signage\n\nVinci Hamp Architects has been chosen for the work. They have already completed measurements\, research activities\, as well as held meetings and discussions with Library personnel and LFPF. We are so excited about this project!\n\nPlease join the Library Board Building Committee in the Friends Room for a public meeting on Tuesday\, November 11\, 6-8 pm.\n\nVinci Hamp Architects will make a presentation and your feedback is welcome. Stay tuned for updates as the Library works to reawaken the original elegance of the 1931 rooms while accommodating current usage and special programming.
