SUMMARY:Make Music Chicago in Lake Bluff & Lake Forest
DESCRIPTION:Music will be in the air on Thursday\, June 21 as the Second-Annual Make Music Chicago\, a free\, one-day music festival\, comes to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.  This is the first year that the day-long festival\, which takes place at more than 75 sites throughout Chicago and various suburbs\, will be held in the North Shore communities of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. A complete list of performance sites can be found at www.makemusicchicago.com/sites. \n\n\n\nResidents and visitors alike can head to Lake Bluff's Village Green\, where a lineup of performers\, including guitarists\, rock bands and a vocal ensemble\, will take the stage every hour between noon and 6:30 p.m. In Lake Forest\, a musical "petting zoo\," hosted by the Music Institute of Chicago\, will invade Market Square\, giving kids of all ages the opportunity to play with a variety of instruments. Revelers can also groove to the tunes of Midwest Dueling Pianos and the Del-Crustaceans\, featuring local residents Rick Telander and Fred Koch. Since 1982\, "F te de la Musique" has become an international phenomenon\, taking place on June 21 in more than 460 cities in 110 countries\, including Germany\, Italy\, Egypt\, Syria\, Morocco\, Australia\, Vietnam\, Congo\, Cameroon\, Fiji\, Colombia\, Chile\, Nepal and Japan. Last year\, Make Music Chicago joined a national group of "Make Music" cities that includes New York\, Los Angeles\, Denver and Baltimore. \n\n\n\nLocally organized by the Chamber of Commerce\, Make Music Chicago is presented by Rush Hour Concerts\, with lead sponsor Comcast and supporting sponsor Tishman Speyer.
