DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a free concert event in the famous Ravinia Festival Pavilion in Highland Park with the Midwest Young Artists Symphony Orchestra\, featuring the critically acclaimed Lang Lang Foundation Young Scholars. The public is welcome to attend on Friday\, August 15th at 1:00 pm.\n\nThe Midwest Young Artists (MYA) Symphony Orchestra is the top orchestral ensemble at the Highwood Illinois-based non-profit music school. World-traveled and celebrated as one of the greatest youth orchestras in the country\, the MYA Symphony performed such pieces in the 2013-14 season as the Shostakovich Symphony No. 5\, and the Dvorak "New World" Symphony No. 9. This special performance will incorporate students from the Lang Lang Young Scholars Program performing piano concertos by Grieg\, Mozart\, Beethoven\, and Chopin.
