DESCRIPTION:Ragdale\, the historic artists' residency in Lake Forest\, continues its sixth annual Ragdale Ring  Performance Series on Wednesday\, August 15 at 7pm with Puppet Prairie Promenade.   This engaging evening of short-form puppetry pieces features Rough House Theater Company and Wonder Wagon in an outdoor performance. Both are at the helm of Chicago's growing puppet theater scene and create work that captures the heart through the eye. Their shows use puppetry\, music\, and performance to tell stories that are intimate\, unusual and sincere.  Recommended for audiences teen through adult. Curated by Roell Schmidt\, Links Hall and Rough House Theater.\n\n \n\nRough House Theater Company seeks to connect individuals and communities through art that celebrates the strange things that make us unique\, and that also bring us together.  The Wonder Wagon presents original stories told through giant puppetry\, original music\, physical performance\, and site-specific design.\n\n \n\nGuests are encouraged to bring their family and friends\, a lawn chair\, or picnic to this outdoor performance which takes place in the 2018 Ragdale Ring\, aptly entitled NOODLE SOUP.  The open air garden installation was designed by Galo Ca izares and Stephanie Sang Delgado who completed a recent design/build residency at Ragdale after winning its international competition for outstanding\, young architects. The Ragdale Ring Performance Series is sponsored by Rosborough Partners.\n\n \n\nRagdale is located at 1230 N. Green Bay Road in Lake Forest.  Free off-site parking and shuttle service are available at the municipal lot in downtown Lake Forest\, on the west side of Oakwood Avenue\, just north of Deerpath Road. Drop-off at Ragdale is also possible.\n\n \n\nAdmission is $20/person\; $15 students and seniors. Tickets are available through the website at http://ragdale.org/programs and also at the door.
