DESCRIPTION:Ragdale's Novel Affair 2015 thrilled guests from the North Shore and Chicago with its stellar line-up of bestselling authors and acclaimed artists at the two-evening benefit on October 2 and 3. Over 225 people attended the Friday evening cocktail reception in the David Adler designed Tennis House at Crab Tree Farm in Lake Bluff hosted by John and Neville Bryan. The majority of guests also enjoyed an intimate dinner with a guest artist in a distinctive venue on Saturday. This year's Novel Affair featured celebrated writers Elizabeth Berg\, Gioia Diliberto\, Alex Kotlowitz\, Bret Lott\, and Christine Sneed\; award-winning actress/playwright Regina Taylor\; radio broadcaster/author Krista Tippett\; and respected artist/art educator Jim Duignan.\n\n \n\nThe ninth annual event was co-chaired by Board Trustees Jeanna Park\, Roberta Rubin\, and Alison Aldrich with the assistance of Ragdale's Events Committee and the Novel Affair Curatorial Committee. Over $100\,000 was raised to support The Ragdale Foundation\, a non-profit artists' residency in Lake Forest that provides over 150 artists and writers the time and space to pursue their work in an uninterrupted environment each year.
