She was an adjunct professor at DePaul University from 2003-2007. While there\, she was an assistant to Mary Stolper\, the principal flutist of the Grant Park Symphony. Ms. Amano earned her Bachelor's Degree at New England Conservatory in Boston in 1995. Her principal teacher was Ms. Paula Robison at NEC. From 1995 to 1998\, Ms. Amano continued her musical education in Paris \, France where she studied with Mathieu Dufour\, who is the principal flute of the CSO. She also studied with Susan Levitin\, Peter-Lukas Grafs\, Marzio Conti\, Alan Marion\, and Raymond Guiot privately and at numerous music festivals throughout Europe.
