DESCRIPTION:Judy Nickels\, author of A Competent Witness: Georgiana Yoke and the Trial of H. H. Holmes\, will present this program hosted jointly by the Lake Bluff History Museum and the Library.  Nickels' work of historical fiction\, set largely around the 1893 Chicago World's Fair\, was inspired by research conducted for the Museum. After the presentation\, attendees are invited to a reception at the Museum and an opportunity to view exhibits about the 1893 Columbian Exposition and life in Lake Bluff during the 1890s.  Registration is required.
