Out of the Shadows provides patients, families, friends and doctors a guide to overcoming this illness. Includes a brief history of depression and its treatments, as well as suggestions for patients and medical professionals, plus how families and friends can best help loved ones suffering from depression. All proceeds from this book will go to help patients and depression research at Rush University Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry in Chicago. Mark is the Former Chairman of Follett Corporation, a privately held family company that is 140 years old and in the 6th generation. Follett is an Educational Company that is known worldwide. Mark worked at Follett for 33 years. Mark currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of Pivot - Point Corporation in Evanston, Illinois. Mark is also involved with RUSH Medical Center in Chicago. He works with the Chairman of the Psychiatry Department in speaking seminars to better educate the public about mental illnesses such as Depression.
