The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society presents a Children's Program: "LEGO and the Farnsworth House." Historian Tina Strauss will talk about the significance of the Farnsworth House and how Lake Bluff resident John Bryan was instrumental in saving the architectural masterpiece. Each ticket holder will receive a LEGO kit of the Farnsworth House (a $60 value,) and is invited to bring in a LEGO house of their own design. Architect Larry Booth will oversee the LEGO house competition and awards will be given out for originality and design.
This event is in conjunction with the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society's month-long celebration of local legend, John H. Bryan. Mr. Bryan will be interviewed by Bill Kurtis on Saturday, October 27 at 4:00 in the auditorium of Lake Forest High School.
Funds fromthe Local Legends Benefit support research, technology, interns, exhibits, publications and programs at the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society.
