What types of things should I be concerned about regarding my intellectual property? What things are considered intellectual property? How do I protect my intellectual property? What’s the difference between a patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret? All these questions and more will be answered during this session. This session is not meant to go in-depth into specific intellectual property requirements or details, but rather better equip a business owner to understand potential intellectual property pitfalls, protections, and other practical intellectual property matters.

Our presenter, Michael Steel, is a SCORE workshop presenter and is a patent attorney specializing in patent drafting and prosecution. He has been practicing patent law for 18 years and is well equipped to advise startup companies on ways to develop an intellectual property strategy.
