Oktoberfest Save the Date

Thanks to some very hardworking three and four year old artists at the Gorton Drop-In Center, the Oktoberfest fundraiser "Save the Date" cards have hit the mailboxes.  This year's Oktoberfest will be held on September 28th from 7-11 p.m. at the Lake Forest Club.  This is a very special year for the Drop-In Center as the proceeds from Oktoberfest will go to building a much needed, new playground and learning garden.  "We are very fortunate to live in such a generous community and are thankful to Stellar Blue Design, Inc. and Jason Edward Photography, both of which have donated all of their time and expertise to create our save the date card.  The Drop-In Board is excited for more people and businesses in the community to jump in to help with this great cause", said Kate Rother, President of the Parent's Drop-In Board.  To learn more about how you can help raise funds for the Gorton playground or buy tickets to the event, please go to www.gortoncenter.org/oktoberfest.
