Gorton Community Center invites the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff communities to our annual PAWS Adoption Day on Sunday, September 29. Bring the whole family! There is no better time to celebrate our faithful, furry friends than now. Come kick off fall with Gorton spoil a pooch – or better yet, adopt one! “PAWS Chicago is thrilled to return to the Gorton Community Center in an effort to find families for our homeless dogs and puppies,” said Celene Mielcarek, Director of Volunteer Programs for PAWS Chicago. “We look forward to meeting new supporters, adopters, fosters and volunteers from the Lake Forest community!” On September 29, Gorton will partner with PAWS Chicago, a No Kill animal shelter founded in 1997, for Adoption Day. PAWS will bring a number of animals in need of safe homes and you may get to bring one home. Adoption papers will be filed on site at Gorton from 2 pm to 4 pm. This is a day for the entire family! Not interested in adopting a pet? Come just for the fun and to support others. Join us under our porte cochere for some furry love and fun!
