City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago is hosting Prostate Cancer Advocacy Day, bringing together physicians, researchers, community leaders, advocates and partners for an expert panel focused on prostate cancer awareness, innovation and community impact. The conversation will focus on the disproportionate impact prostate cancer has on Black communities, the importance of early detection and PSA screening conversations, and how trusted partnerships can improve access to care and resources. We’re thrilled that public officials and community leaders including Mayor Cunningham from Waukegan, Waukegan Township Supervisor Marc Jones and Mayor Rockingham from North Chicago all plan to join us for this important discussion. Community members can attend Prostate Cancer Advocacy Day at the Greenbelt Cultural Center in North Chicago on Wednesday, August 19. The panel discussion will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., with networking to follow.
