This two-day hands-on class is designed for students (ages 7 to 10) to learn and practice basic cooking skills including reading recipes, organizing and measuring ingredients, following kitchen safety, tasting new flavors, simple pan-cooking, rolling dough, whisking, mixing, and using a food processor. Day 1: ?Noodle Around? (Monday, June 30th) Everyday classics become even more special when made from scratch. Young chefs will mix, roll and cut homemade Egg FEttuccine. Then they?ll add Everyday Jumbo Cheesy Meatballs with Marinara Sauce, and a dessert of Chocolate Icebox Pie. Day 2: ?Fresh Picnic? (Tuesday, July 1st) Students will prepare dishes using fresh herbs and spices - Pesto, Pasta & Pea Salad, and Crispy Mustard Crusted Chicken. They?ll round out their picnic fare with freshly squeezed zingy lemonade. All classes are Hands-on, with a Student/Teacher Ratio of 4:1. Minimum of 8, Maximum of 12.
