Description
The International Students Association (ISA) invites the Lake Forest community to join us for our "One World" event, an enriching celebration of the diverse cultures and traditions represented on our campus. This event will feature captivating performances, including dance, singing, and poetry, alongside traditional cuisines from different regions of the world. By welcoming both on- and off-campus guests, we aim to foster intercultural understanding and appreciation, creating a space where cultural exchange thrives. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the culinary heritage of various countries, promoting mutual respect and deepening our sense of global community. Beyond showcasing our rich cultural diversity, the "One World" event serves a critical purpose: it is a fundraiser dedicated to supporting international students on F-1 visas who are facing financial difficulties. Many of us rely on part-time work to cover tuition and living expenses while managing the financial pressures of unexpected costs. The funds raised will directly assist those in need, alleviating some of the burdens that hinder academic success and overall well-being. We invite everyone to join us at the Gorton Center (400 E Illinois Rd, Lake Forest,) to celebrate our cultures, engage in meaningful connections, and contribute to a cause that makes a significant difference in the lives of our fellow students.
