Description
The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is back for 2021! Don't miss this holiday tradition for the entire family brought to you by the Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Foundation. Enjoy an afternoon and evening of live entertainment, warm drinks, carolers, LFDA dancers, and Santa! This free community event will be held at Historic Market Square in downtown Lake Forest. Schedule of Events: 1:00 pm Holiday movie classic Home Alone shown at Gorton Community Center. Visit gortoncenter.org/film for more information. 3:00 pm Ice Sculpting by Art Below Zero Arts and crafts activity for kids courtesy of Sage Explorers. Food Trucks from Rosati’s & Taste of Paris Cider, donuts, and TALA coffee courtesy of The Oertel Group/Compass. Hot chocolate and snacks provided by Lake Forest Bank & Trust. 3:15 pm - 5:00 pm Visit with Santa. 4:30 pm Caroling concert by the Lake Forest High School Choristers. 5:00 pm Lake Forest Dance Academy performance begins, and just after, the lights will be set aglow! Western Avenue between Deerpath and Westminster will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
