Join us for an illustrated lecture by historian Leslie Goddard about the breathtaking rise and shocking collapse of Theranos, the multibillion-dollar blood testing company founded by Elizabeth Holmes. We will explore the research chronicled by John Carreyou in his best-selling book, Bad Blood. Backed by powerful investors, Theranos grew into a company valued at more than $9 billion. The only problem, as Carreyou revealed, was that the technology didn't work.
