Description
Please join us for our monthly Chamber luncheon, featuring an informative, educational presentation and, as always, opportunities for networking with Chamber members.
This month's guest speaker is Roneida Martin, the Executive Director of the Workforce and Professional Development Institute (WPDI) at the College of Lake County. The Institute provides training, consulting and cutting-edge classes for businesses of all sizes, professionals and the community at large. Roneida's presentation, "Workforce Development – Our Joint Opportunity" will cover the current state of workforce development and readiness, what an underdeveloped workforce means for the national economic recovery, where the Workforce & Professional Development Institute sees opportunities, and how the business community can help. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.
About our speaker: Roneida’s business experience is broad, including procurement, marketing, business development, sales and training and also includes ownership of her own consulting firm. Her industry experience spans health care, information technology, water infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, education, not for profit organizations and the federal government where Ms. Martin served as the business liaison for Congresswoman Melissa Bean. Ms. Martin holds a BA Degree in Business Administration from Carthage College and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
