Description
Presented by: Lori Goldstein, Attorney, Owner at Law Office of Lori A. Goldstein
Curiosity about employment law only seems to arise when one is either leaving a position or beginning a new one. Being well informed is the best remedy for making good sound decisions. Drawing from her twenty years experience in employment law and litigation, Lori will address current issues and answer your questions, thus helping you make better informed decisions.
Topics discussed will include the difference between at will and contract employment, discrimination and harassment issues, attracting and retaining older workers, and social media in the workplace. You will want to know how each of the issues addressed affect your employment. Non-complete and severance contracts may also be of interest. You will definitely walk away knowing more about issues that are being addressed in today’s very different work environment.
Lori has an impressive resume in employment law including sixteen years with Holleb and Coff, and ten years with Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon. Currently she opened her own practice representing employers and employees on a wide range of workplace issues, including discrimination and sexual harassment, management training, employment practice audits, wage-hour issues, worker classification, reductions-in-force, hiring and firing, and severance and employment agreements. Lori regularly presents and writes on employment topics, and handles claims before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and other administrative agencies. Lori believes in providing personal service to clients efficiently and economically, working to resolve legal workplace issues so that clients can focus on their work.
