Description
Presented by Lisa Brewer, Channel Marketing Associate Manager at Essendant
Have you ever been in an interview where you did not know how to answer a question? Do you have difficulty building strong resume accomplishment bullets? Do you struggle in identifying your value propositions? If you answered yes to any of these questions, professional SAR stories will change that answer. Situation, Action, and Results stories are a way of communicating the value you bring to the table, the accomplishments you have achieved, and are rich in content to answer almost any interview question. During this interactive workshop you will learn how to develop strong stories that highlight your skill sets, competencies and accomplishments. Yes, everyone can do this! At the end of the workshop you will know what you have to offer, how to articulate it, and be armed with the skills needed to continue identifying and strengthening your stories. Bring your resume.
While attending career workshops, Lisa noticed that she naturally spoke in SARs stories but that this was not a universal skill. She developed this workshop to help others market themselves more successfully. While in sales at Procter & Gamble, Lisa was trained to use SARs stories to successfully sell her analyses and recommendations to grocers and wholesalers such as Kroger and Supervalu. She later trained sales reps and merchandisers in this sales technique. She further honed her communication and teaching skills as Executive Director of a local nonprofit.
