Description
When someone you love is living with dementia, their behaviors may seem puzzling or upsetting. But behind every action is a reason--and an opportunity to connect.
Join us for this free educational session designed to help you understand the why behind the behaviors and give you tools to respond with confidence, calm and compassion.
This workshop is part of the Empowered Caregiver education series and will focus on non-medical, person-centered strategies to meet the needs behind behaviors like agitation, wandering, resistance to care, and more.
What you'll learn:
- How to interpret behavior as communication
- Ways to identify common triggers and unmet needs
- Person-centered approaches rooted in empathy
- Simple strategies to de-escalate and connect
- Tools to create a more supportive environment
