The Twilight Run / Walk / Roll & Post-Race Party is the largest CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) certified 5K race in the Chicago-land area featuring disabled and non-disabled athletes competing side-by-side. Team registrations are also available this year. The purpose of this event is to provide exposure to the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association and an opportunity for athletes who have physical disabilities or visual impairments to embrace the GLASA motto of “Let No One Sit on the Sidelines”. The start and finish of the race is the Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045, with the actual race winding through the streets of East Lake Forest. Multiple divisions include age group awards for runners, as well as for manual wheelchairs, racing chairs and hand cycles, ambulatory, amputee and visually impaired. Post Race Party with Beverages, Food and a Live Band.
