The LF/LB Chamber and community partners are bringing the holiday spirit to life in downtown Lake Forest with special holiday window displays, pop ups in storefronts, opportunities for selfies, sparkling lights and store exhibits - all while following current guidelines - a fun way for residents and visitors of all ages to 'Think Local First' for the holidays. The Holiday Stroll starts on Nov. 27 and will run through the month of December.
The windows of Lake Forest's Market Square will come alive with beautiful holiday-themed displays by merchants and local organizations, among them a tribute to Marshall Field by the History Center of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff, Lake Forest Library's 'Deck the Town' display of community-designed ornaments, displays from local schools, art-filled windows designed by local artists, and a whole new tradition - opportunities for selfies for the whole family!
And there will be three pop ups in the Square to celebrate the season...
ART POP, immediately to the east of Kiddle's, will feature one-of-a-kind gifts for sale by local artists from the Deer Path Art League, Artists on the Bluff and Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Artisan Guild (open every Thurs thru Sat 11-5pm thru December 19, or by appointment -- for info contact firstname.lastname@example.org). Two doors further east, FILL-A-HEART-FOR-KIDS will be hosting a 'Santa?s Workshop' at 270 Market Square from Nov. 19 to Dec. 20, Mon-Sat from 10am-5pm or by appointment. Guests can purchase gifts or donate items to sponsor a homeless or foster child.
And, shoppers can check out the City of Lake Forest's LAKE FOREST STATION store located on the west side of the tracks facing Market Square - a destination for all things to show Love for Lake Forest.
Let's shop local first!
