Vladimir Kulenovic, conductor Catherine Winters, flute Passion, lyricism and pathos all join together in the remarkable Symphony No. 40 by Mozart, the ?miracle that God let be born in Salzburg.? Life and death coexist in the highly expressive and mysterious Valse Triste by Sibelius, and this season?s youth soloist Catherine Winters performs the Nielsen flute concerto. Program: Sibelius Valse Triste from Kuolema (Death) Nielsen Concerto for Flute and Orchestra Tchaikovsky (Braunstein, arr.) Lenski?s Aria from Eugene Onegin Mozart Symphony No. 40 A pre-concert lecture will begin at 1:00 pm.
