Life in a Japanese Internment Camp
Description
Early in 1942 after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans living on the West Coast found their lives dramatically changed. Although two-thirds were American born and many were children, the families were forced from their homes into one of ten ill-equipped and over-crowded Relocation Camps. Meet librarian Sarah Okner, a descendant of internees, as she explains the daily life in an internment camp, and the profound effects it had on those living there.
