Louder Than Guns

Description

We’re screening Louder Than Guns, a documentary with Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show and public radio’s David Greene and directed by Doug Pray. In the film, Secor and Greene travel the country talking with people on every side of America’s gun debate, using music as a way in. It isn’t an advocacy film. It’s about listening, respecting each other and finding the common ground that’s often closer than we think. Ketch and David will join us in person after the film for a special musical Q&A.

There’s a local story here, too. Lake Forest residents and longtime Gorton supporters Robin and Sandy Stuart helped make the film possible as investors, and Ketch's sister is Lake Forest resident Caroline Masterson! We’re proud to bring it home to our community.

Because the conversation is meant to include everyone, we’re hoping for a room that reflects our whole community. If you’re able to come, I’d love to see you there.
