Description
Presented by: Dr. Stephen Laser, Principle of Stephen A. Laser Associates and author
With over thirty years of experience in advising organizations on how to select the best qualified candidate Steve is able to provide a unique glimpse into what employers are looking for when they make hiring decisions. Today, employers have the luxury of being picky. Steve will highlight the 10 to 12 attributes they are looking for. There are steps you can take to avoid being disqualified when in fact you would be a good fit for the position. While the hiring process is designed in many ways to make you feel powerless and out of control, you have more influence than you might think. Use that influence to make this time in your life worthwhile and productive beyond just the need to survive emotionally and financially. In addition to gaining confidence in your ability to handle interviewing, you will garner tips on how to make productive use of your time while looking for work. There are also ways mature workers can gain the advantage and use successful strategies that should prove effective in finding employment. Steve will offer tips on avoiding the pitfalls and traps that can lead to false hope. Accepting today’s (and tomorrow’s) new reality is a necessity.
