Description
Amie Marks, founder of Women in the Know forums designed to encourage women to discuss timely issues, announces the final presentation in a three-part series exploring teenage mental health and suicide. At luncheons held on November 19 and 20, Marks and her panel of experts will explore student data locally and end by speaking in solutions to be proactive in helping children build tools to handle pressure, trauma and mental illness. This final presentation rounds out the two previous forums that explored statistics surrounding mental health and suicide as well as signs and symptoms of mental illness. Women in the Know forums are free and open to the public and all attendees are encouraged to bring a friend. The following professionals will be in attendance at this final forum: Deborahanne Reimer, MS, LPC, CADC, Tri-District Student Assistance Program Coordinator School Districts 65, 67, & 115 (supported by LF/LB Schools, funded by LEAD); Heather Keith, MA, LPC, CADC, Program Manager, The Child, Adolescent & Family Recovery Center; Gail Cutler, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Founder of Rebecca's Dream; and Dr. Michelle Epstein, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Women and Children Mental Health & Wellness. In this final presentation, attendees will leave with resources and tools to help our loved ones cope with today's pressures and stresses.
