Description
Presented by: Mary Beth Barrett-Newman, President & Founder, 2nd Career Consulting
Is it possible to rejoin the professional workforce after a career break of 5, 10, or 15 years? There are many reasons one might take a career break, but regardless of the reason, heading back to the workforce can be daunting. How do you convince employers that, in spite of your hiatus, you’re excited and ready to work?
Having a strategic plan, the right tools and an effective process to follow are the keys to successfully returning to the workforce. Learn how to network effectively even when you aren’t sure of what you want to do, and why reaching out to former colleagues, even after many years, can still be helpful.
This presentation will help you understand:
- The importance of staying current;
- The dos and don’ts of a successful search;
- The significance of using technology and social media in your search;
- That networking is critical and not as scary as it seems.
