Ragdale Presents Centro Social – A Music and Arts Showcase
Ragdale, the historic artists’ residency in Lake Forest, continues its Ragdale Ring Performance Series on Wednesday, July 10 with Centro Social, a showcase of music, visual culture, contemporary art and entertainment.
The program finds the sweet spot where “underground cool meets the nightclub vibe.” Guests are invited to arrive at 6pm for an open studio tour, and chef-created tasting. The staged performance begins at 7pm and lasts 90 minutes.
This evening affair is part contemporary art and part social club rooted in deejay culture featuring: Sadie Woods (DJ), Chris Paquette (Percussion), Josue Pellot (Installation Artist) Sam Lewis (Performance Art), Edra Soto (Visual Art), Sam Trump (Trumpet), and Edith Yokley (Electronic Violin).
Guests are encouraged to bring their family and friends, a lawn chair, or picnic to this outdoor performance which takes place in the 2019 Ragdale Ring. This garden theater, Shared Beds is an inventive constellation of three round discs designed by David Costanza and Piergianna Mazzocca, who won Ragdale’s international competition for outstanding, young architects. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to an indoor location.
Ragdale is located at 1230 N. Green Bay Road in Lake Forest. Free off-site parking and shuttle service are available at the municipal lot in downtown Lake Forest, on the west side of Oakwood Avenue, just north of Deerpath Road. Drop-off at Ragdale is also possible.
Admission is $20/person; $15 students and seniors, 12 years and under free. Tickets are available through the website at http://ragdale.org/programs and also at the door. For questions, call 847/234-1063 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
