Description
In 1942, one of the darkest years of WWII, Lt. Charles Baugh became a Navy codebreaker, while his father, Richmond Baugh, was taken prisoner on Corregidor Island and sent to a Japanese POW camp. In this gripping family saga that centers on the military career of her father and grandfather, L. Sue Baugh recounts the suffering of the Philippine people during the occupation, the heroic work of military and civilian codebreakers, and the brutal battle for the liberation of the Philippine Islands. Ms. Baugh's presentation is based on the newly uncovered story of her family's legacy in World War II.
